Description
The ERBE APC 300 Argon Plasma Coagulation Module provides high-precision, non-contact electrosurgical coagulation. When paired with compatible ERBE ICC or VIO electrosurgical generators, this system ionizes argon gas into a focused plasma beam that directs high-frequency energy to tissue surfaces, achieving effective superficial hemostasis.
Because the plasma beam automatically seeks out bleeding, conductive tissues and moves away from sealed, non-conductive areas, the depth of coagulation is self-limiting (typically 1?3 mm). This minimal depth of penetration significantly reduces the risk of tissue perforation, making it an excellent tool for treating bleeding ulcers, vascular malformations, and tumor debulking in delicate zones like the gastrointestinal tract and bronchial pathways.
